Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions for Vibradermabrasion and Microdermabrasion

What are the characteristics of a good candidate for Vibraderm or Microderm?

If you are concerned about skin texture, and would like to unlock your skin’s underlying vibrancy by treating acne, comedones or simply to improve dull or rough skin, and you are seeking immediate results with no downtime, Vibradermabrasion or Microdermabrasion using our Vibraderm or MegaPeel is for you.

Are Vibradermabrasion and Microdermabrasion safe?

Vibraderm and MegaPeel are very safe and have been used widely without major risks of complication. Both procedures can be performed on all skin types. Be sure to let your Hotchandani Laser & Vein Center provider know if you take Accutane or have any of the following: active herpes infection, malignant skin lesions, evolving dermatoses or certain keratosis.

Are Vibradermabrasion and Microdermabrasion treatments painful?

Most patients feel no discomfort during the procedure itself. MegaPeel treatments may feel like a cat’s tongue liking you, and Vibraderm feels like someone quickly rubbing a gentle canvas on the treatment area.

What is the recovery time I should expect?

The procedure is non-invasive and the only down time you will have is the treatment itself.

How can I improve and maintain results?

Following your scheduled treatment regimen, it may be recommended to do maintenance treatments periodically. Longevity of results will improve if you take care to use sunscreen when in the sun, avoid tanning beds, and minimize other activities that will damage your skin like smoking.
