We at the Hotchandani Laser & Vein Centers will prescribe a protocol specific for you, which may also include the Obagi Blue Peel - a light to medium chemical peel that will help further restore your skins clarity and tightness.
The Obagi System is easy to use. In the privacy of your home, your Obagi program can turn the skin you have into the skin you want. How? With the following steps:
- Prepare
In this step, you cleanse and tone your skin to make it more receptive to the correction step. (Foaming Gel and Toner) - Correct
This step helps to repair the damage to the surface of the skin, correcting hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone and smoothing skin roughness. (Clear and Exfoderm) - Stimulate
This step helps to repair damage to the deeper layers of the skin. It restores skin elasticity by enhancing the production of collagen and elastin. (Blender) - Protect
This step further protects against damage from harmful UVA and UVB rays, as well as protecting the sensitive eye area. (Healthy Skin or Sunfader) - Control (optional)
This step helps alleviate the dryness or sensitivity that sometimes occurs at the beginning of treatment. As you continue the system, your skin will become healthier and in less need of control agents.
GETTING YOUR HEALTHY SKIN BACK:
The Obagi System of Skin Health Restoration produces soft, radiant-looking skin and helps to increase skin tolerance to environmental assault and assists in restoring normal skin functions. It helps to correct surface discoloration and blemishes, stimulate cell renewal, improve circulation and rebuild collagen. After six weeks - or one skin cycle - new, healthy cells emerge to the surface. The normal barrier function of your skin is restored making your skin less sensitive and better able to hydrate properly.
Unlike other skin care lines that treat only one symptom, Obagi Skin Health Restoration is a gradual process consisting of three distinct phases:
- The Reaction Phase
Out with the Old. During this initial correction and stimulation period, a new layer of healthier cells replaces your damaged top layer. (The reactions you may experience are a sign that skin restoration is in process). - The Tolerance Phase
In with the New. During this period, the correction and stimulation continues providing you with significant improvements in your skin almost every day. (During this phase, your skin begins to build a tolerance to the treatment and the reactions begin to subside.) - The Corrected Phase

OBAGI NU-DERM
Foaming Gel (Cleanser)
Combines a blend of herbs, natural cleansers and Aloe Vera to create this gentle formula. It frees your skin of pollutants and excess oils without damaging the skin's own natural moisture content. It leaves even oily skin clean and touchably soft.
DIRECTIONS: Apply to damp face and neck with moistened fingertips. Rinse completely.
Toner
A refreshing blend of natural ingredients and herbs that hydrates and tones the skin while restoring its normal pH balance. It prepares the skin for application of Obagi Clear.
DIRECTIONS: After cleansing, apply toner to face and neck with a cotton ball. Avoid the eyelid area. Do not rinse off.
Clear (Skin Bleaching Cream)
INDICATIONS AND USAGE: The gradual bleaching of hyperpigmented skin conditions such as chloasma, melasma, freckles, senile lentigines, and other unwanted areas of melanin hyperpigmentation.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: A thin application should be applied to the affected area twice daily or as directed by a physician. If no improvement is seen after three (3) months of treatment, use of this product should be discontinued. Sun exposure should be limited by using a sunscreen agent, a sun block agent, or protective clothing to cover bleached skin when using and after using this product in order to prevent repigmentation.
Exfoderm
Exfoliating lotion in a base to smooth and tone skin.
DIRECTIONS: Apply topically in a thin layer to the skin once a day or as directed by a physician.
Exfoderm Forte (exfoliation enhancer)
Exfoliating lotion containing alpha hydroxyl acids formulated in a unique base, which helps smooth and tone rough or damaged skin.
DIRECTIONS: Apply Exfoderm Forte topically in thin layer to the skin once daily or as directed by a physician.
Blender
INDICATIONS AND USAGE: The gradual bleaching of hyperpigmented skin conditions such as chloasma, melasma, freckles, senile lentigines, and other unwanted areas of melanin hyperpigmentation. Specially formulated for blending purposes.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: A thin application should be applied to the affected area once daily or as directed by a physician. If no improvement is seen after three (3) months of treatment, use of this product should be discontinued. Sun exposure should be limited by using a sunscreen agent, a sun blocking agent, or protective clothing to cover bleached skin when using and after using this product in order to prevent repigmentation.
Action
Moisturizing lotion formulated to bring quick relief to overly dry skin.
DIRECTIONS: Use sparingly on areas on the face and neck where discomfort may be experienced.
Tolereen
USES: For the temporary relief of itching associated with minor skin irritations, inflammation and rashes due to external factors.
DIRECTIONS: For adults and children 2 years of age and older: Apply to the affected area not more than 2 to 3 times daily. Children under 2 years of age, consult a physician. Store at controlled room temperature: 15-30 degrees C (59-86 F)
Sunblock SPF 24
USES: For protection against sunburn. Filters harmful UVA and UVB rays.
DIRECTIONS: Apply liberally to all exposed areas. Apply at least 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply frequently after prolonged swimming, excessive perspiration, vigorous activity or toweling
