The procedure consists of injections of very small doses of botulinum toxin type A, which is one of the most widely researched medicines in the world, into chosen facial muscles resulting in the blockage of chemical signals that cause unwanted muscle contraction.* Treatment is simple and smoothens the deep, persistent lines that develop over time.* It generally remains only in the treated muscle and gradually disappears without breaking down or traveling throughout the body.*

Is BOTOX® Cosmetic safe?
BOTOX® Cosmetic remains one of the most widely studied medications in history. The FDA cleared BOTOX® for use in cosmetic procedures in the US in 2002, FDA approved for hyperhidrosis in 2004, and in 2010 it was approved for severe chronic headaches. Additional clinical studies are underway to expand approved indications.
