The muscles in our bodies weaken over time, causing skin in areas of the face and body to become lax and less controlled than they were years before. This can be so frustrating, especially when it happens to the area around your eyes. While you may think that bright and well-rested eyes are a thing of the past, the truth is that they’re not.
At Hotchandani Laser, Vein, and Cosmetic Surgery, we can help with drooping, sagging eyelids to give your upper eyelids the youthful lift they need. UPNEEQ® is the only FDA-approved prescription eyedrop medication that is designed to lift the upper eyelids to achieve brighter, well-rested eyes that can make patients feel confident and comfortable with their appearance. With UPNEEQ®, you can look as youthful and awake as you desire!
UPNEEQ® is ideal for men and women who suffer from droopy eyelids due to age or other medical conditions. A thorough evaluation and consultation with the professionals at Hotchandani Laser, Vein, and Cosmetic Surgery will be required before being prescribed this medication. Additionally, Dr. Hotchandani will review your medical history and any current medications that may prevent you from using UPNEEQ®.
- How UPNEEQ® Works
How UPNEEQ® Works
UPNEEQ® is packaged in single-use containers to make the process as easy as possible. Patients should administer one drop per eye, once per day. The prescription medication causes the Müller’s muscle (a muscle in the eyelid) to contract, which raises the upper eyelid, making it shorter and tighter. This reveals a brighter, more youthful facial aesthetic.
One of the best parts of UPNEEQ® is that there is no recovery time associated with the treatment.
Many patients notice an immediate improvement in their eyelids after their very first dose, with the effects increasing over time. It is important to note that UPNEEQ® is not a permanent solution, and the results typically last about eight hours after administering the daily dose. In order to maintain desired results, continued use is recommended.
Who should not use UPNEEQ®?
Children under the age of six should not use UPNEEQ®. UPNEEQ® drops are contraindicated in patients with close-angle glaucoma. UPNEEQ® is not studied in pregnant or breastfeeding patients.
Can I use UPNEEQ® if I wear contact lenses?
Yes, you may use UPNEEQ® if you wear contact lenses; however, you will need to wait 15 minutes to put your contacts in after using UPNEEQ®.
