Jeuveau® candidates are mostly adults aged 18 to 64 who are dealing with frown lines. That said, while Jeuveau® is only approved by the FDA for glabellar lines, it can also be used off-label for crow’s feet and other dynamic wrinkles.

Other than that, make sure to meet the following requirements:
- You’re in good health, with no health issues that slow down healing time
- You don’t have ongoing skin infections near the treatment area
- You’re not allergic to botulinum toxin products (e.g., BOTOX® Cosmetic)
- You don’t have any nerve or muscle conditions
- You aren’t pregnant or breastfeeding
Patients should have realistic expectations regarding the procedure, as the skin needs to have good elasticity. Deep wrinkles might need more than one Jeuveau® treatment or perhaps additional procedures to get the desired results. Jeuveau® uses a substance called prabotulinumtoxinA, which is a purified version of botulinum toxin type A. Its action is similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic since it’s a neuromodulator that prevents the nerve signals from reaching the muscles.
That said, since this is a more concentrated and purified solution, the effect is faster compared to BOTOX® Cosmetic. This is thanks to the Hi-Pure™ technology, a purification process developed in South Korea that’s designed to make the solution safer and more consistent. The product should settle faster, and there should be fewer cases of uneven action.
