At Hotchandani Laser, Vein & Cosmetic Surgery, we perform Renuvion™ treatments for adult patients with or without excess unwanted fat who want to address mild-to-moderate skin laxity. The length of the recovery after Renuvion™ treatment depends on the desired extent of correction during the procedure. Most activities can be resumed within three weeks, although residual bruising, and swelling can last as long as four weeks. Some patients opt to take over-the-counter or pain medication to alleviate post-treatment discomfort. Dr. Hotchandani will provide thorough aftercare directions during the consultation appointment.
It can take a few weeks for swelling to subside completely and reveal the final results of Renuvion™ treatment. The treated area will continue to improve for several months. The effects are meant to be long lasting for patients who lead a healthy and active lifestyle following their procedure. Doing so will help prevent the accumulation of fat and preserve the integrity of the skin.
Is anesthesia used during Renuvion™ treatment?
Renuvion™ is performed with local anesthesia, supplemented by the use of nitrous oxide (laughing gas), to facilitate the safest and most comfortable experience for the patient. If this treatment is paired with another procedure, general anesthesia may be more appropriate.
